GENKAICHO Next Generation Energy Park Asupia

"Asupia" is the combination of Earth and utopia. It is a facility that can let people experience and learn about the Earth's energy and lead to dreams of the next generation.In the facility, everyone can think about the next generation energy by playing games and having experience related to various energies.

Coal Mines Historic Site(Kishima Coal Mine Otsuru Mining Plant: Second Pithead Remains) was built for transporting coal in a rural area of Karatsu City. It shows us a part of a coal mining facility in the past.

Karatsu City is blessed with wind conditions. "Karatsu Minato Wind Power Plant" has built on what used to be farmland. Nijinomatsubara pine grove/ Collecting pine needles

Nijinomatsubara (Pine grove in the shape of a rainbow arc) is one of the special places of scenic beauty and three greatest pine groves in Japan. Almost one million black pine trees grow along Karatsu Bay. Removing the pine needles on forest floor can help improve the natural regeneration and preserve the landscape.
