Hamanoura Rice Terrace & Otoshi Shrine

Fantastic Hamanoura Rice Terrace that overlaps like stairs running up from the coast shows different sides depending on season and weather. Especially between mid April and early May, it is the rice-planting season and the best period to watch sunset. Sun going down the horizon dyes the sea and paddy fields into orange colour. Its contrast to footpath makes a wonderful scenery. *Photos provided by: Saga Prefectural Tourism Federation
